С игрой их пламенно-чудесной, / Their splendid sparkling fire
Когда их приподымешь вдруг / When suddenly you raise them so
И, словно молнией небесной, / To cast a swift embracing glance
Окинешь бегло целый круг… / Like lightning flashing in the sky
Но есть сильней очарованья: / But there is a charm that is greater still

В минуты страстного лобзанья, / When all is fired by passion’s kiss
И сквозь опущенных ресниц / And through the downcast lashes
